Embroidered Silk

This embroidered silk look is created by using Modello patterns with a new concept-Outlined Pattern. The line around the design is turned into a thicker outline, which can be painted or troweled through.

What makes this different is that once the outline area is filled it, the decorative artist can then remove the mask areas just within the line and retrowel with a second, translucent color that fills in the center areas and softens the outline. This creates an effect similar to embroidered applique!
